Formed in late 2007, godRobot. began jamming hard after hours at colleges, in bedrooms and garages before piecing together a live set which saw them doing the local loops, supporting funk rockers Chi-Roh and often playing alongside acoustic trio Blind Dead McJones and indie pop-rockers Yuri & the Vostok.

godRobot.'s sound is a combination of mid-driven guitar riff sluggery and screaming wails, slinky bass attacks unafraid of the application of de-tuning and bass overdrive and a pounding percussion with unrelenting intricacy which has best been described as 'The Machine Room'.
