Now, some news, The long standing project guitar that started out as a $180 Essex has completed it's transformation and this is the final product:

The original tremolo system has been replaced with a Bigsby B5, the shitty ass tuning keys have been replaced with Gotoh's, some knobs have been replaced and it's also been properly set up with a new bridge, some nut filing and correct intonation etc etc. It now plays like a proper guitar, the set up did take time but it was well worth it.
While in melbourne for the BDO and Tool sideshow etc, I bought this:

'Tis a Blackheart 100W Hothead, and it's damn loud. Very good quality amplifier, it's a British Boutique kind of thing so the clean tones with some nice low end density is where it really shines.
Just recently we (The Search Party) started the recording process for our album, we set up in the basement and managed to get the drum tracks down for 3 songs, so a pretty productive use of time given the set up /pack down times. Here's a photo of Tony (Paps' sound guy) being all professional like, I learnt a fair bit in this little session.

Before too long we'll set up a website and other pages on Fb etc for The Search Party so those links will come.
Also Lords Of Leisure have been recording more material whether you like it or not, and there is a special event planned for around June this year, details to follow (when we stop sucking at organising things).

This summer also saw the birth of Shatners Bassoon (Pictured Below). You can check out their two tracks 'The Edge Invented Music' and 'I'm Glen Moorhouse, I'm Famous' on this site!

That's all for now, thanks for your time.
