Here's a quick video to show my little 'rig' for this project.
Images to follow shortly.
--------------Artist Research--------------
-------Aaron Turner--------
Aaron Turner is a musician who has used photography in various album releases, his photographic efforts are trying to express a concept otherwise only communicated with sound, with photography. For this reason, I looked at some of his work and how he approached summing up the themes of a group of sounds with visual cues.
Here are some examples of his work;

------John Priola---------
In discussing my work in progress, Ruth suggested I look at the work of John Priola. Immediately I noticed a similarity in visual style in particular, his Saved series where the subjects lay central and almost luminous in a space void of light. This gives the objects in these images quite a strong impact as they literally seem to be sitting in nothingness, much as I have tried to do with my subjects.
Priola's Graves series also speaks to me under a somewhat different light, these images have a real 'grit' to them which I find quite appealing, this is only accentuated by the use of black and white photography.
His images can be found at his site;

----------Project 1 / In Progress / 22/3/11--------
Here are my images in progress at the moment, there are many different versions of each of these images but this should give you an idea of the subject matter I'm looking at.
There has been a lot of experimentation with my camera, trying to get as many differentiating results as possible, good or bad. Being an E-Media major, my work is based around the use of sound, a lot of those same ideas drove this project, trying to add visual representations of ideas that I've only expressed through sound previously.
